Hmm, problematic answering that.
NSO plans out tentative future events rotations to help manage writing the rules.
For example the flying events are on a six year rotation, two years some variant of Wright Stuff, two years of some variant of helicopters, and two years of some variant of gliders, with the events rotating down from div C to div B. Div C finished two years of helicopters last year, div B has started them this year. Div C started gliders this year, can expect them back next year. Then Wright Stuff will likely come back to div C and some form of gliders move into div B.
Most of the events have some rotation plan like that. Towers, Bridges and Boom rotate as a group. Etc.
The rules writers and state directors have access to the total plan, and occasionally it gets circulated wider. But, its in the protected area of the NSO website, so I'm not the right person to release it. That's a decision of senior management at NSO. If you look around on this site, I think you'll find an old one, can't comment on its accuracy now, though it was valid at one time.
And I'll foot stomp TENTATIVE from above. The plans have changed many times and will do so in the future. They are adjusted as the standards change, as people come up with new ideas, or as old ones just don't work in practice.
You'll see the likely events for next year start floating around after the national tournament, though I caution it isn't final till you see the books in September.
I'll also say that about this time ambitious students start looking to next year and want to work on those rules early. I say this every year, DON'T sweat that. Yes the rules will change and yes you will need to adapt. BUT, we don't change things THAT much. If you work on improving your glider ability under this years rules, you will still be way ahead of anyone waiting to start when they see next years rules. And when we change to Wright Stuff, practicing over the summer to a prior year copy of the rules will have you light years ahead of those who wait for the official rules in the fall. The basic principles for flying, structure building, wheeled vehicles are the same and worth learning. Then the details we throw in the rules become just that, details you can handle, not completely new learning.
Sorry, jumping off soap box.
