Wait, you're not allowed to wear shorts into Exp Des? This is my 3rd year doing the event and I've worn shorts to it multiple times, including at Nats.
I would've worn shorts if it was warm enough!
It's always warm enough for shorts.
My original question stands: Is it really against the rules to wear shorts in that event?
I like shorts, because it's comfy and easy to wear!

367. Keep eating the calorimeter samples for food science and asking for new ones
368. Buy unlabeled medals matching the ones at a competition in bulk and wear hundreds of them everywhere you go, including at awards (much easier at invitationals that use unofficial medals because it isn't exactly easy to buy official SO medals)

It isn't exactly easy to buy invitational medals either. That requires an invitational tournament form on file with the national office (technically, I think it's done through the state but sent to the national office as well).
