Weird things that have happened at your school?

... keep in mind, our high school students barely ever get drunk or smoke. only a couple of them. i live in a pretty safe district. but the funny thing is that a girl who was running for my grade class president, she said in the debate that yes; there are problems with middle school alcohol and drugs. yeah right.

Just because you don't necessarily see the smoking or drinking, it doesn't mean that it's non-existent. I consider my school district to be pretty safe too. I'm sure (and I know) that many people smoke cigarettes or pot, and/or drink. Are you in middle school? I didn't really get an idea of drug or alcohol use until this year at all (I'm a freshman).

i know almost everyone in my grade, and im 99% sure they don't drink or do pot, yes, they get in trouble and get caught by the police, but none of them consider alcohol into high school.

My school is depressingly normal- the weirdest thing I can think of is that the Enrichment room used to be a supply closet (with windows. Who puts windows in a supply closet?) so we get locked out every time the door closes.

our middle school had one of those rooms. i had language arts and social studies in it. ours has no windows, though.
...it did have sharp corners, though.

in front of my locker this year at the end of the day, these random guys broke out fighting and got suspended (or something or other). when they got lead away to the couselors, some girls noticed one of them had left his cell phone on the ground (they were tackling each other) and went to go return it. i just thought it was funny.

Yeah... a couple years ago, there was this group of 5 kids who would consistently cheat on tests without being found out. Then, they decided to steal 4 ACT booklets out of a locked room in the main office. Apparently the entire school had to take the test again, and the FBI were there. Our school was on the verge of being sued by the ACT people.

It was funny how this group got found out. One day, one of the kids was taking a test because he skipped when he was supposed to take it, and the teacher gave him a different test on the same topic. He said " Hey, this isn't the right test"

Today our assistant principal announced that we were having a "drill" for an emergency evacuation just in case something were to happen. So we went at least a half a mile away from the school to where our furthest practice fields were and would up being out of class for about 45 minutes. Turns out there probably was an actual bomb threat, and although nothing happened (or has happened yet), the administration still maintained after we returned to the building that "we did a good job on the drill." Bomb threats are kind of common, but I wish we were told straight up what happened. Or maybe it was a drill, but probably not.

actually, we are at a reasonably high-ish risk for hurricanes; we've just been very lucky over the past years.
