Re: SAT Scores?
Crazy midwesterner taking the ACT Saturday here, and I didn't even know it until today. Wait, is there an ACT thread?

Re: SAT Scores?
Talent searches. Practice. $40 isn't that much when you consider the head start it gives you on a very important test.austinfhs wrote:Just wondering, why do 7th/8th graders take the SATs? I mean I have nothing against it, but you have plenty of chances later, and it's $40!
[I also personally profited $1460 from the NUMATS scholarship money]

Re: SAT Scores?
Why would you choose ACT over SAT? I've never understood any of the logic behind that.zyzzyva98 wrote:Crazy midwesterner taking the ACT Saturday here, and I didn't even know it until today. Wait, is there an ACT thread?

ACT has a science portion. And no vocab. Thats why I prefer it.paleonaps wrote:Why would you choose ACT over SAT? I've never understood any of the logic behind that.zyzzyva98 wrote:Crazy midwesterner taking the ACT Saturday here, and I didn't even know it until today. Wait, is there an ACT thread?

Re: SAT Scores?
I have taken both, and found that I have done much, much better on the ACT compared to the SAT. It's better to have results from both tests when you apply too.

Re: SAT Scores?
IMHO, ACT was much easier. But that's just me. Why not take it for yourself? You're the only one who can accurately judge that.paleonaps wrote:Is one generally considered easier?

Re: SAT Scores?
Do you know how you did?
I think I'll take both at some point- or is there a law against that?

Re: SAT Scores?
Ofcourse not. I'm almost 110% sure you can take both in the same year. Just so you know, there is the "ACT" and the "ACT plus Writing". I took the ACT last year as an eight grader, but plan on taking the ACT plus Writing too.
