Isn't it 8.2m?iwonder wrote:I'm that's definitely some weird math
It's 5.7 m/s, which amounts to 12.8mph
(8m/1.4s = 5.7m/s | 5.7m/s = 12.8mph)

If I'm not mistaken the measurement is between the .2m line and the 8.2m line, which is 8mCheese_Muffin_Man wrote:Isn't it 8.2m?iwonder wrote:I'm that's definitely some weird math

Actually, once our car broke the sound barrier (1.6789 Mach!) we had to design an encasement for our egg that would protect it from cracking during the run. Can't get tiered, can we?jacobxc wrote:I don't think this time is possible. Because if my math is right that is a speed of 1278mph.wjnewhouse wrote: we were able to get a run time of 1.4 seconds at state
Nope if they egg touches the wall you get a score of 0 for distance so that is fantastic. if it bounces off it is the final positionstroudchick wrote:Are you disqualified if the egg touches the wall? And how is it to be graded if your egg touches the wall but then rolls backwards? All above scenarios are without the egg breaking.

A ramp would qualify as a construction violation.nxtscholar wrote:Quick question. Teams that do build and go along with a ramp as their launcher...are they tiered 3? Is a ramp a construction violation, or a competition violation? Someone please explain the difference.
