So, I guess I can waste one more accusation before I have to be conservative with them, so here goes.
I accuse AlphaTauri for almost no reason besides the fact that I randomly keep thinking that it's her, and cannot help but try to bend the ID clues to point to her, which is quite annoying. The only legitmate basis I have for this apart from some very small things is the fact that the vast majority of the posts by the sassy have come in at my (and alpha's) midnight, which is a time fewer people are active, alpha being one of them. Anyway, that's all.
In the very likely case that the game is not yet over, I would like to say that there is a chance that I might not have internet for a while, so if I do not post on this thread in 24 hours, my spot becomes (24 hours from now) temporarily up for grabs, until I can get back on and reclaim it.

Edit: I give my accusation to silverheart, for balance.

The door flew open with a loud bang (which was probably my fault for not replacing it after I had kicked it in so I could break into foreverphysics' evil mastermind lair). A figure was silhouetted in the doorway, holding a gun.

"You! Hands above your head, and turn around!"

"How fitting. You've caught both of us."

"Yes, and you'll face the same end as your traitor officer."

"Hah, go ahead and make your threats. You'll never actually do it."

He hesitated, but then he regained his determination and pulled the trigger. The sound of a gunshot echoed around the room, and I collapsed in a spray of crimson. twototwenty strode over to where I lay, just to make sure I was dead. Not quite. I karate-chopped the gun from his hand and grabbed him by the front of the shirt.

"Good thing for bulletproof vests and fake blood, huh?"

"What-"

I shoved him to the floor and got up, making sure to pick up his gun. I made my way to the door, grabbed my fedora from the coat-rack next to it, and turned to leave.

"Oh, don't worry, you've won - I won't be back to terrorize Scioly, that's a promise. I must say, though...it's been fun."

twototwenty: Good game sir, I tip my hat to ye. PM me with your pick.

Ah yes, those dastardly ID clues.

The first clue referred to the film Twister (which was about stormchasers and marital issues), which was nominated for a Golden Raspberry award in 1996. One of the films that was also nominated for the category that Twister won was Independence Day. July 4th, right? The supernova that created the Crab Nebula in the constellation Taurus was first observed on July 4th, 1054. Incredibly vague, yes, but it was the first ID clue and it would be embarrassing to get caught on the first one...

The second clue was anagrams. All the italicized words could be anagrammed to spell out the names of famous physicists ("Nineties" --> Einstein, "begins here" --> Heisenberg, "dire globe" --> de Broglie).

The third clue...well, it's all Greek to me. ATP = alpha tau rho ("rho" was the closest I could get).

I also dropped quite a few - perhaps unintended - hints at my identity...I love musicals (Chicago entry clue), I am a Linkin Park fan (though I only really used that quote because it sounded appropriately dark and foreboding in its original context), I have taken APUSH (history clue), I am a cryptography geek (the ciphers), and I have chemistry experience (chem formula clue).

Honestly, I'm still surprised that no one accused me earlier...despite my excuse that I'm at camp, I've already demonstrated I'm capable of running a game relatively well even while I'm at camp. And my other defenses were basically, shall we say, "selective truth-telling" and plain old BS.

---

I take my leave.
BWhat do they all have the same of?
AThe Lady died with him but was not born until long after, in 1954.
Correction: A + B + [space] + [Two letters, both uppercase]
If the Lady were real, she would not have died 362 years before she was born.

Really, really great game, Alpha. Very well done.
I did suspect you, almost from the start, but I tend to be more conservative with my accusations, and was waiting to figure out an identity clue before I accused you. I did get pretty close with some of them; I had gotten to the Independence Day part of the first clue, but didn't know where to go from there...
Anyway, I am figuring out who I want to be the next sassy, and will hopefully pm you my choice by the end of the day.

Aw, I was hoping it would last longer.
And to make things clear on how I picked Alpha:
She wasn't my first choice. I actually only had one choice after I won (RandomPerson), but when I proposed the idea to him, he said he would think about it (which is why I waited so long before posting my triumph). And then he said something along the lines of "not worth my effort when the officers don't even try", so he kinda went out the window. I considered asking Alpha then, but I figured she wouldn't want any part.
After that, I wasn't exactly able to get on chat for a while, so people PM'ed me for the sassy spot. And Alpha PM'ed me, so she got in.
Therefore your assumptions that I picked someone because I was on chat...is wrong.

Physics is difficult for 99% of the world's population because they don't understand it. The other 1% know too much.

"Physics is a psychiatrist?"

Who's next?
BTW I think this was a good game. Clues were tough, but not too tough.
EDIT: And yes, I will be using my list next round.
