Yeah that's probably true that woodcreek will be in the top next year- getting 8th at your first state ever is really good- much better than we did when we first went to state

sorry this is OT but:

Most schools in Houston area don't have TAKS today because of flooding :D :D :D
most schools are cancelled but ours is just delayed two hours but thats still fine because that means school doesn't start until 930 :D :D :D

same here- i'm so bored at home- i'll probably stay at home and work on my events for next year (maybe)...

also,

someone on my team pm'ed me saying someone told her that kealing was thinking of dropping out of nationals so we could go

is this true or just a joke???

it would be nice if i could have a person that actually is in Kealing Science Olympiad verify that

i honestly have no idea. thats what someone on my team said that someone else told her. so the odds of that being true are pretty small...

And I'm stuck at home drawing stupid otters, but I end up ripping every single one up because the proportions aren't right.

And as for that rumor, it doesn't really matter, Kealing earned the spot, and if they want to go to nationals, they should to. And regardless of how badly I want to go to nationals, it just wouldn't feel right if they gave up their spot for us. That's how I feel at least.

i can only think of 2 reasons they wouldn't go, money, which usually isn't a problem for them, or lots of conflicts on that date, which i also don't see being a problem

Kealing is going to nationals and sharing a bus with LASA (which significantly reduces the financial strain for both schools).
