Wait, you're not allowed to wear shorts into Exp Des? This is my 3rd year doing the event and I've worn shorts to it multiple times, including at Nats.calvin102111 wrote:298. My original question stands: Is it really against the rules to wear shorts in that event?

If that was the case, the proctor probably should've read the event parameters in the rules: "Students must bring goggles... That makes so much sense. I'd recommend wearing chem clothing just in case, since even though it's spelled out in the rules there will probably be a few event supervisors that ignore it and use chemicals anyway.Fibonacci924 wrote:That makes so much sense. While this does make sense in this context, I still don't believe that this should have caused you to be almost DQed or drop in rankings.
