Well...I accuse RandomPerson52 of being the Assassinator because:
1) He's competent enough with technology to make the clues we've seen
2) fmtiger knows him and might be more likely to pick him
3) Even if I'm wrong, we'll have eliminated a good suspect
4) I haven't burned any accusations yet

Re: Scioly Assassination 60: The Lottery
I must say that this game lasted a LOT longer than originally expected. When I get home I'll pull up logs, but at one point RandomPerson told me that he didn't expect to last more than a few days. Congrats to both RandomPerson52 and AlphaTauri!
Hopefully I'll get in on the next round.

Hopefully I'll get in on the next round.

Re: Scioly Assassination 60: The Lottery
And as the incompetent officers (who took over a month for an obvious accusation) finally figured out who I am, I opened all exits to the warehouse and made my escape with the Officers chasing me. Leaving behind all my supplies and disguises so a successor can take them up.
Yes very good, a very long round for me considering it lasted exactly a month, and I expected to last at maximum a week. (robodude and fmtiger also agreed that I would not likely last long)
Obviously the grammar was a ploy, you all need to stop placing as much faith as you do in writing style. Man it was annoying writing like that.
First I'll go through the rules changes I made:
Having the civilians be the ones that didn't make the officer cut was just to keep the story valid, of course I just changed this because there weren't enough initial guesses.
Alright onto the clues... don't kill me for some of these (remember it was virtually my initial round):
Clue #1
This one was very simple, each line had a prominent literary element, all it involved was identifying those elements like so:
Clue #2
The 4 cards had one end have its 2 diamonds be slightly bigger, slightly closer together than the opposite end, and have a slight red line through the center of them. Convert this to base 4 using the black cards as a guide and you will get 1233, which is 111 in decimal.
The 2 cards I had as a sorta red herring, (I would've helped you guys out more with hints if you made any progress on the clue in the right direction, which didn't happen), but the 111 in the 4 cards referred to Eta's pick of the number 111.
A note here: This clue in an older incarnation was actually my original first clue, except it took the same idea and targeted zyzzyva with "98", so when I was talking about my first clue targeting an officer, it was actually him originall not paleonaps (I was going to target paleonaps in clue #2, robodude changed my mind on this). Just for fun, here is that clue: http://i55.tinypic.com/2nl7hwy.png
And that's a lot of writing, I'm going to take a break, I'll update this with more explanations later...

Obviously the grammar was a ploy, you all need to stop placing as much faith as you do in writing style. Man it was annoying writing like that.
First I'll go through the rules changes I made:
I came up with the idea to this game when it was lagging badly before game #50, one of the major things that annoyed me then and really in all assassinator games (except perhaps DS's round) is that it really didn't give a lot of people a wide chance to participate, this was my idea for solving that. The counter argument to this was that the people to respond within x minutes were the same ones that would be the most active, but I thought it should at least be tried.1. Every one who replies will put down a number between 0 and 1001, I will compare that number to one I have already chosen (see after the rules) If your number is within the top 5 numbers closest to mine, you shall be an “officer”. You will all have 2 days to reply with your number, only one may be chosen and it cannot be changed once selected. Put in a bit of thought before posting. If you have not been around for awhile, it is less likely that you will be able to identify me.
Again another big issue I was was people being disenchanted (and a reason why the games lag), or otherwise incredibly angry, was at losing an officer. I wanted people to have fun, not have the round be a competition. So instead I just had 3 kills be an accusation taken away. (originally I had it be an officer taken out completely, but that was a little harsh, would make people angry, and you all would just use up accusations so that you would only lose 1 instead of 2 or 3, so I just made it a lost accusation).3. Police officers will not be targeted, though if the Police officers fail to solve clues and 3 civilians die, the Officers will lose one accusation for every 3 deaths.
Take the first letter of each element and you will get: PAEONAPS (no common literary element that can be put in one line exists for L). The beast references were there so that if you really didn't solve it normally and didn't make the connection to the first clue targeting Paleonaps, then that would nudge you to protect him. (My attempts to make the clues in general easier, which I would later fail at)like a beast you are Simile
running rumbling roaring ripping Alliteration
when I realized suddenly, what I must do Epiphany
stalk the beast and see what he sees, smells, and senses Alliteration again
my watch runs fast, it tells me to do what I must quickly Personification
tic toc, it keeps going, tic toc, and as the hands tell Onomatopoeia
I must send this beast into the abyss, into a chasm to the abyssm Neologism
because this beast, even when telling the truth, all he does is lie Paradox
Clue #2
This was all about converting from base 4 to base 10. The 4 black cards represent the order of the digits: 0,1,2,3 in respect to the card facing forwards, right, down, and left. Of course, you needed a reference point on the cards to figure that out. The spades on the 2 cards were different, one of them was slightly closer to the edge, and slightly bigger (especially the base of the spade which I personally made around 1.5x larger in width). The 2 on the cards meant it was in base 2, so you actually didn't need to know which side was cardinal. Convert it to 1s and 0s and you will get: 110111. Which if I remember correctly is 55 in decimal.
The 4 cards had one end have its 2 diamonds be slightly bigger, slightly closer together than the opposite end, and have a slight red line through the center of them. Convert this to base 4 using the black cards as a guide and you will get 1233, which is 111 in decimal.

Random, it was like you were on one of those carnival spectacles where the guy's on the wheel and they're throwing knives at him. I nearly accused you several times... but there was always that one person or that one nagging doubt in my mind that made me second-guess myself. Good round, and good job Alpha for finally ending this torturous game- next time, Random, don't write like that >:(
