The Shock Test was really easy. I guess others thought so, too, 'cause we got 9th. I also heard that there was like a 2 point difference between first and fourth.

Man, we got 22nd overall. Good job to Hicksville, Weber, and Wisdom Lane! Southwoods completely failed this year.

Yeah, I really wish it could have been harder. I knew way more than that, as did many others I assume. And then I don't get state champion most likely due to a tiebreaker or like, half a point (what do they do if the teams are even tied with the tiebreaker, because that seriously may have happened with this event). I wish they could have thrown one or two ridiculously hard questions in there, because, while I knew everything on the test, my partner knows all about more complex electronics, and we may have been able to separate us from the other teams that way. Ah, well, I suppose there's nothing I can do about it now.

Also, what did you think of that fill-in-the-blank question that asked what part of a DC motor helps it spin? I think that was a bad question, since, technically, every part of a DC motor helps it spin- without brushes it would get stuck, but without permanent magnets there would be no force to make it stuck, but without a coil there would be nothing to be attracted/repelled by the magnets, but without a voltage source there would be no electromagnet...

Man, if only our plane hadn't gotten stuck. ;( In practice runs it wasn't that far off from the winning 3:18.
ornithology, forestry, entomology, triple E, green generation, water quality, dynamic planet (lakes & rivers), awesome aquifers, meteorology, robot arm, write it do it. :)

Actually, you weren't just close--you would have won with that time. The winning time was 3:11, I think.

Edit: Whoops, I just checked that link, and didn't read your comment clearly enough. I guess we started timing that a little late, then, and didn't realize that we should've overestimated. xD

Well, what happens happens. I think it would be awesome if people built rooms just for our planes, but obviously, that isn't gonna happen. :[

Oh hey it's another edit: FueL, I think I know who you are. *is a stalker* :|
Nationals 2011: Flying Bird; team (Gelinas) ~ 7th
Nationals 2010: Optics ~ 9th; team (Gelinas) ~ 3rd

Considering we're biffles and you know all the events I did, I'd be surprised if you didn't know who I was. ;)

Could anyone tell me what team had a shirt that said "Going bald for $$"?
