1) we have like 8 islands man we should get 1 bid per island. rhode island is just 1 island but they have 1 bid just like us
2) we're the 50th state. delaware was the 1st and has the same amount of bids as us. using the format the delaware has established, (state number = bids), hawaii should get 50 bids. so this is LONG overdue
3) we have to like, fly over an entire ocean just to get to nats. need i say more?
4) dude we're lit
Reasons why you shouldn't get the bid:
1) Rhode Island is not an island. However, it does contain more than 30 islands in the bay. By your logic, we should get more than 30 bids lo.
2) If you only have 1 bid, it saves a lot of money because only one team has to pay for the airfare to go to nats. "Modern problems require modern solutions"
3) We're lit too. What makes you "litter" than everybody else?
1. Rhode Island is called Island. Island SINGULAR. Hawaii is called the Hawaiian Islands. Islands PLURAL.
2. You can't put a price on the experience of nats
3. Are you making fun of our litter? That is a new low man.

The only fair way to do this and also add excitement at the same time, will be to allocate 2 additional spots to random states (lottery) at the national tournament. So two lucky states will get to send 1 more team above their current allocation. Other variation on the themes are possible.

I can’t tell if this is a troll or not but that’s not how it works. 2nd bids are given to states with the most amount of teams registered.

So the Japanese Islands should get multiple bids?
As well as the Missouri Islands?

I was not trolling and I do know how the current bid allocation process works. This was in response to a hypothetical scenario of adding two additional bids for states. I think my approach will add more excitement to the existing process.

This thread has gotten so far off track. If anyone wants to have a serious conversation on national bids (there's always one every year even though there's less than 1% chance of the system changing) I recommend starting another thread. Joke predictions and suggestions are, I guess, what this thread is for.
