Alright, I have no clue about the numbers and letters. But I think that the flight, "go back to the roots," and location part applies to me.

The first airplane was flown in NC, which is my location. Therefore the roots of flying is where I live.

The string of letters looks similar in structure to the one from the clue that killed lumosityfan. I put the code into a Caesar decoder, but none of the possible shifts turned up anything coherent. So it looks like this one has a keyword again. I'll re-continue when I have time to.

Yes, but I have no clue what that actually means. I've been wondering about that as well.
