may have found out that they are placed into an event the day of
so that would be a good time to cram
i was placed in rock and mineral b/c some guy didn't show up
amazingly i didn't come in last
also u want info that u studyed in the beginning of the year to be fresh in ur mind and it would be a good time to talk to ur partners
we always have a study time in the hotel where we study and practice events
and if u've been in sci oly long enough u learn how to study for long periods of time without burning out ur brain
I'm sorry you have such an inconsistent team, but if you're thrown into an event then hopefully your partner would have some knowledge. Anyway, the time to study should be at practice. Why not review your year-old notes at the practice before you leave and have a relaxing bus ride before you compete? I do agree with you on the hotel, though. We always have a study session in the hotel before state and it is a pretty relaxing environment to fine tune yourself for the next days' competition.

Oh, that's a great idea! I have a Rubik's Revolution. I'm definitely bringing mine on our trip to state.
