most principles don't care what happens in SO, its just another drain for the school's money, and the principle will probably side with the teacher in any case

thats great, i wish our principle would be more involved in stuff, but she really doesn't care about SO, and she doesn't take any interest in many of the clubs

pretty much none of the staff care at my school. even my coach said (in effect), "you guys want to shoot for nationals, you do that. if you just want to go to state, fine with me. i don't really care either way." *sigh* the coach doesn't really motivate us.

So (yay big long stories, though this one is related) my WS partner and i needed one of the gyms or the "multipurpose room" (cafeteria) to test the plane, and we went from teacher to teacher (they kept deferring us to somebody else) all the way up to the principal, and he's like, "well, you kind of need staff supervision." (go run-on sentences!) everybody else told us we could only come from 3 to 4 on b-ball game days, or between like 5:30 to 6:30 on the occasional day. seriously, no teacher is willing to say past 3:30 unless it's for their own reasons, and i think it's sort of ridiculous that we need "staff supervision" (our parents could be there!) they really didn't care much (the secretary, when referring to it, called the plane a "science experiment" :x ). we ended up testing it at my partner's sister's elementary school gym (which was enormous, but had the fans on).

I hate when they do that. "staff supervision" That sucks. I would try to sneak it in, but i know that sometimes that's not possible.

we considered that (sneaking in), but it's such a small time slot anyway, that we didn't bother.
