side note: I'm far behind on wright stuff and this bridge survived the 15kg load with no creaking or abnormal sounds of any kind. If I do end up being pressed for time, would it be a good idea to just re-test this bridge?

I would highly advise against re-testing. I would suggest rebuilding that same bridge if you're worried; however, you have plenty of time. Congratulations on a fantastic score, as holding the full weight is always an impressive feat. Keep up the good work!

If you listened for abnormal sounds and didn't hear anything, check it over, make sure no joints have fallen off, etc. If it looks good, you're probably fine.

Also, one technique that I and a few other people use is the pre-load the structure before a competition, basically say test it to maybe 7.5kg and take the load off. It does a few things..
-The structure has a chance to 'settle' the stresses from building can be worked out so it's more stable
-You make sure you didn't make any stupid mistakes or bad glue joints (it happens to everyone)

(you can go back to boom two years ago and there's some discussion on it. I would personally recommend doing that to a structure a few days before contest. Wouldn't put it much past 1/2 load though)
