I use Firefox 3.
I keep IE6, IE7, Opera, and Chrome around to test things.
Both AJAX and Java chats show the new icon for me...they don't have a separate file on the server.

I added a new feature to the site:
Use inlined
pretty-print math expressions to your forum posts!
Using this string of text in your post:
Code: Select all
[math]x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}[/math]
will result in this:
These math expressions use

syntax.

is an extremely powerful document preparation system with great support for advanced mathematical expressions like so:

's math syntax is well accepted as a standard among er... math people (physics and comp sci people too, really). The American Mathematical Society has a nice guide to advanced usage here:
ftp://ftp.ams.org/pub/tex/doc/amsmath/s ... -guide.pdf
This feature is also available in our [wiki][/wiki], in case anyone was wondering.

Very nice. And get used to LaTeX everyone... it's everywhere once you hit college. All physics and math classes use it extensively around here.

The LATEX expressions appear a little jagged on Chrome.

That's what it looks like. Notice how the differential and especially the italic text in gh's sig appears "jagged". Is this due to browser issues, or because I run Windows Vista (Service Pack 1)
