Could coating your boomi in a light-weight spray adhesive be potentially beneficial?

Hey, thinking outside the box. Very good.
However, as a practical matter, probably no.
First problem is a
light weight adhesive. Compared to balsa, any adhesive is 2, 3, 4x the density. Even in a thin coating all over it, a significant weight addition.
Second problem is sprayable- 1) needs to be thin enough to spray- and if it is, it will likely tend to soak in (adding to the weight issue), 2) needs to not clog spray nozzle, 3) needs to set up hard/stiff
Third problem is there are only some places where coating might help- spraying the whole boom would mean lots in places where its just dead weight.
Potentially benificial - coating pieces in compression would increase buckling strength. However, I think that increase would likely be more than offset by additional weight.
