Whhhaaat???!! This is insane! What if Ladue doesn't go to nationals!!!? Didn't they win state last year, beating Pembroke?
Does anyone know how much they won by?

And Meikuru, we put the aluminum foil inside of the box, then covered it in duct tape. Then we made a really tight cup thing for the beaker which was made of wool string and Popsicle sticks. Oh, and we had cotton balls around that.

We didn't seal the whole thing up, so our heat retention score could have been better.

Feel like that this disscussion should be under Thermodynamics.

Last year, Pembroke C absolutely dominated at state, medaling in 19 events and scoring something like 56 points, beating Ladue by a sizable margin to become the state champions. Perhaps you are thinking of B division, where the top two places were flipped with Ladue winning and Pembroke getting second.
Regionals: 1st Robot Arm, 1st Thermodynamics, 1st Experimental Design, 1st Chem Lab, 2nd Forestry, 4th Gravity Vehicle, 5th Optics
State: 1st Robot Arm, 1st Gravity Vehicle, 1st Optics, 1st Chem Lab, 2nd Experimental Design, 3rd Thermodynamics, 6th Forestry
Nationals: Tie for 1st Robot Arm

Yeah, I think I was thinking of B division because I was in B division last year.

And that was only because Pembroke got 27th in Write It/Do It...I think they came back to beat Ladue in Nats(B divison).

About Region V...
As a West Junior High freshman, I'd like to say that for about the first 10 events announced we were worried about even placing in the top four and going to State, and then for the rest of the time we were split 50/50 on whether or not we were first or second. We were prepared to face the defeat of taking second place - or worse - in our LAST YEAR as West JUNIOR HIGH. (Yeah, for all you Div B kids, next year it'll be West Middle).

Edit: Congrats to CIS! And especially Veer. Pretty impressive.

About Region VI...
Well. State will be interesting, although Ladue may have just been having a bad day or something.
