When I was there, my entire family ordered butterbeer, with nothing else to drink. I'm amazed I survived.Kokonilly wrote:I find it amusing how this thread has turned into an amusement park discussion... oh, the perils of an Orlando nationals.
Also, tip: the butterbeer at the Harry Potter theme park is ridiculously sweet. As in, you need a bottle of water to drink with it because it's overwhelming.

Maybe I should have been a little more specific: Coney Island in Cincinnati, OH (not the one in NY).chalker wrote:Coney Island? I think you are off by a couple states there. Regardless... next year you should plan on the one and only US Air Force Museum, which is right next to the campus and is absolutely amazing.fishman100 wrote:Just wait until next year, when it's held in Ohio. Cedar Point, King's Island, Coney Island, etc.Kokonilly wrote:I find it amusing how this thread has turned into an amusement park discussion... oh, the perils of an Orlando nationals.

I really hope I get to tag along to Nationals this year. Other than competition day, I think I may be living at Hogwarts

Go to the national website and help raise money for the tournament by purchasing supplies at your local staples using the code and coupon on the UCF Nationals Site. There you can use this coupon to help get discounts on items and give back 10% of the proceeds to the tournament

Re: 2012 National Tournament: University of Central Florida
I find it ironic how many posts this topic already has, considering how we havn't been to Invitationals yet. And even more ironic considering that I'm adding to them.
Anyway, I'm studying REAAALLLYY hard so I can get on the national team at my school. But our Scioly is so big so we have a couple of teams... yeah no chance. But all I hope for is not to bomb the invitationals. If I get not-last in at least half of my events, I'll be really happy! Not to say I would not like to go to Nats, just that there are sooooo many more experianced REAALLLY good Sioly members at my school. All I can do is try and hope for the best!

Re: 2012 National Tournament: University of Central Florida
Does anyone know whether teams at SONT 2012 will have the option of staying in the UCF dorms? If that option isn't going to be available, why so? (The SONT 2012 website contains information about nearby hotels but not about UCF dorms.)
Thanks; I was just wondering.

There has even been that option before? Aren't most colleges still in school in May?Luo wrote:Does anyone know whether teams at SONT 2012 will have the option of staying in the UCF dorms? Schools are usually out. The only time in recent history that it wasn't an option was 2009 at Augusta State, as they didn't have university owned housing...tornado guy wrote:There has even been that option before?
