I protect soccerkid since much of the clue relates to transportation, and soccerkid started the transportation thread.

In amerikestrel's clue, Oersted discovered aluminum, which is important to transportation.
In my clue, Toyotas are cars, which are a form of transportation. Transportation is also used to distribute the other products.
In harryk's clue, spars are used in ships, which are a form of transportation.
Kjhsscioly's clue refers to ver, which is close to over, indicating some sort of movement.
In ophiophagus's clue, US refers to the country, which has an advanced transportation system. This is reinforced by the I symbolizing the interstate highway system.

Thus, the clue clearly points to soccerkid. :P

At some point during the night, each officer in turn is startled awake by a sonorous knocking at his or her door. When each in turn opens the door, they can see nothing but what the streetlights have illuminated and perhaps the slightest hint of a person disappearing around a dark corner. Each in turn looks down and sees a slip of paper at their feet.
To amerikestrel:
About 1397hz
The elemental discovery of Hans Christian Oersted
To harryk:
A thick strong pole typically used to support rigging on a ship, or to argue lengthily but not violently
To ophiophagus:

49° 06' 18.28" N, 1° 57' 35.83" E
To EASTstroudsburg13:
Apple, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Starbucks, Texas Instruments, etc. [abbreviate]
To kjhsscioly:
The stem of truth
You would do well to put yourselves in α SEMβLANCE OF ORDER.
The "elemental discovery of Hans Christian Oersted" is electromagnetism, and 1397hz is the hertz value for the F6 on a guitar (acoustic and electric).

"" is the square root of -1 which is an imaginary number. The coordinates are for a point on D66 (a road or highway in France that has the name: Chemin du Clos Crotin).

Alpha and beta are within the final sentence which points to putting the answers in alphabetical order.

As for eaststroudsburg's all those companies are often considered breakable brands, as in they're very easily recognizable without a brand name or logo. The name came from coca cola wanting a unique bottle that could be "smashed into a thousand pieces, yet could be identified as a coca cola bottle"

Hey. You think the assassinator created a clue to target you just because you changed your avatar 15 minutes earlier?
