The part about Merlin makes me think that the clue may have something to deal with the legend of King Arthur, the knights of the round table, and Merlin. In addition, the only two main characters in the legend who would have been angry at Merlin are Morgan le Fay and Mordred, but I am unsure about how that relates to the rest of the clue. The mark that is mentioned in the clue also interests me. By the way, what was the solution to the clue for becoming an officer?

Im going to protect quadratic. Largely, due to the middle portion--in his location he mentions not being sure of how to spell something and his avatar is the old asasssinator--thus not referring to proper spelling or the correct assassinator. It could sort of refer to the last portion as well--His sig could also cause anger due to it saying "I AM THE ASSASSINATOR" which has a tendency to annoy some people.

Since I'm not the sort of person to be up at 5 in the morning, I must make my protect now, and do the shameful thing and protect myself. Why? Well, there's a slew of grammatical errors in there (okay, not necessarily errors, but things that could be better). That doesn't directly point to me of course, but when people don't refer to things in the proper manner, I tend to get it angry. Seems to fit together. I also never refer to my username in the proper manner, because, well, I'm not exactly the bug type. I am known to have energetic exclamations on occasion, and it wouldn't be entirely unusual for me to shout out the name of a wizard in the middle of a conversation. Of course, I'd probably use Harry Potter, but Merlin is cool too. And to tie it in with clue one, I like ALL food, not just specific colors. Whereas some guys might not like to eat pink and purple food (yes, the one of them), I'm fine eating it, so long as it's not a vegetable. But since I don't know any pink and purple vegetables, I don't think I have to worry about that.
