I had to quit swimming due to random unfortunate things, but I did breaststroke and distance free

Oh, I hear that. I had to stay out of the water for 4 months because of a shoulder injury. :x It was torture.

No, not things like injuries.
I swam for a YMCA town team for 6+ years, and then that Y went bankrupt, so our team dispersed for half a season, and practices were all over the place, wherever we could find a pool open and willing to have about 50 kids there at once. Then the next season, in order to keep us going, they jacked the prices up like crazy and at the same time I started not having enough time to do 3 hours a day, 6 days a week.
yeah........ k I'm done.

Aw, that stinks! I'm sorry that happened to you. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't swim, seeing as I fail at all other sports. :D

Varsity golf.
Plus, last year I came in 4th nationally in the pentathlon of a middle school olympics-type event. :D

Yeah... haha it's okay. At first I thought I was gonna die because swimming was my life but I eventually got over it.

I would think that too. So what sports do you do now? If I couldn't swim for whatever reason I'd probably take up running, but even that would be painful to watch.

wow, you're like a mind reader haha. I did take up running (the next closest thing to swimming I think) and I'm good at it, but nowhere as good as I was at swimming, it's nowhere as fun, and I still miss it like crazy

I certainly wish I could read minds. ;) Yeah, they would have us run before practice. I was actually relieved when we got in the pool for a punishing 2 hour practice because I was so slow. :D There's something about just staring at the bottom of a pool and following the black line that's very peaceful... until my coach starts throwing kick boards at me because I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing... good times. What was your coach like?
