Re: Swap Meet 2011
I'm swapping with lots of teams for shirts...that way, if I'm lucky, then I'll get the winning team's shirt and call myself part of the team! lol

Re: Swap Meet 2011
My mom, a native Wisconsinite (born near Madison actually) has yet to purchase a cheese hat. But she got a sweatshirt from the Jelly Belly factory in Wisconsin, and the Jelly Belly guy is wearing a cheese hat on the shirt. xD It's quite cute actually.HappySciencePie wrote:We're hoping to find cheese hats at the airport and get them there and show up to the swap meet and be all like, "HAAA WE GOT OUR OWN CHEESE HATS, WISCONSINNNNNNN." I would probably bring fried chicken to the swap meet. Ohh! Or miniature Saturn-V rockets. (I drive by the Saturn-V practically every day.)
Hmm, I actually am considering UW-Madison (awesome bio program) but I don't think my parents would fall for it.Starapollo1 wrote:you should totally do it Aubrey!paleonaps wrote:Why don't you pull a Z and come on a "college visit"?

My parents want me to like Auburn and would be thrilled that I'd be "showing interest" in a (sort of) local university. It's 3.5 hours away.

Re: Swap Meet 2011
Hi!
I'm from ND and this happens to be the first time we're going to nationals. What are some typical things that are traded? We (I) don't want to send anything boring like North Dakota pins (they're boring; we're a boring state). I've heard from the middle schoolers who went last year that hats are a BIG deal, but is there anything else? Other than liscense plates. They're surprisingly hard to get.
