im in norcal. bv hoo-ra! we are hoping to place in states as we got second to mira loma at regionals. About costs, our school doesnt give us money, we each pay $20 in dues and sometimes the coaches pay for stuff we need (balsa, metal, pvc) or we get it ourselves. It helps to be into the rc hobby already with stuff to build a sumo bot. Who else here was at the regionals at csus?

You in Bella Vista? I'm not sure, all I remember was a Sounds of Music guy pounding on his xylo every time BV placed.
I'm in Sullivan... Not very good at all. I still don't understand how we made it to states, though, since we got 5th in team-wise. But I got 5th in Fossils there, so no complaining!

Yup. first time, too. I'm really happy for them! But I feel bad for Arden, too. First time in, like 5 years or something, w/o going to nats.

Congrats at state! Though you didn't win a medal ("location" ), your team placed higher than us! And at least you tried! some of the people in MY team didn't...
We tied w/ Thomas Mcartney/St. Rose at 22nd ( ), & the officials are still trying 2 sort that out because of the Bottle Rockets messup...
