Most states only send one, but for a certain number of states with a higher percentage of participation, there are two schools. These states include, but are not limited to, Texas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and your own Ohio.

Wait... when are states this year? Last year they were in mid-April, so I'm guessing they're usually around that time, but does anyone know the specific date (this will determine some things for me)????

I kinda of wish that are state was so hard, to at least have a chance, our school is pretty small and not a lot of people in our school. We do pretty well in our regional and have gone to state three times in a row excluding last year. Got crushed in Solon to, did get 9th place on physics lab so thats not that bad for first time.

We got crushed by Solon, but we beat them in Wright stuff and I got 9th in Ornithology and 10th in Fossils. Not too bad for a first time states...

For Ohio, that is awesome. I don't mean to put down my own state, but if you competed in Pennsylvania you could have placed higher.

We plan to, if weather isn't like last year.
Bleh, that was horrible...
LOL, I slipped on the ice and almost dropped an important building event!

All humor aside, the weather prevented Strath Haven from coming to the invitational.

I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this, but I recieved an email from my coach that sumo bots is now a trial event for our state. Has anyone else heard about this?

That is correct. Sumo bots is a Trial for Ohio State

Some competitions will be running it as a trial event.
