So what i did was instead of doing the lines, i experimented a bit and looked at the clue. I realized that if you "avert from the front" where do you look? THE BACK. The last letter in each line is an anagram of RAIL. I plugged the line of text into a rail cipher with 21 rails and got

JOCOOL WILL MEET HIS END PROTECT HIM YOU MUST DZWJR

I protect Jocool based on this.
