Let's remember this in 2 weeks and let's see what kind of case surge Ohio gets...
From state estimates about 100,000+ could be infected in Ohio in matter of a few weeks. So that's unfortunate. Stay safe

I'm really hoping that silver champs (for swimming) will be canceled... it's in a week in Delaware, where there's only 1 case... hopefully that'll change.

I just don't want to swim :P why do I do it in the first place...

That's a mood with swim. They haven't canceled my practice yet, but our last short course meet has been canceled. We practice at a pool where the school system is switching to online classes, so I don't know how much longer we will have practice. Also they canceled a Sectionals meet that my brother was going to in Atlanta... most families were 3 hrs in to the drive when they canceled.

Yup. All our practices are canceled until they can find another pool because we'd been doing them at the high school which is now canceled...

Indiana has been granted 20 days off... like, any days our school closes, up to a month, won't need to be made up at the end of the year.
What I'm hearing is... summer break early! Woot! Reportedly my school will close Monday, and not reopen for a month... but idk how reliable that message is.

This is going to be problematic for AP exams, my classes aren't going to be finished with material by then... do you all think Collegeboard will push exams back, possibly?

Can I request that we delete 2020 from our memories and do it over again?

My school is moving to eLearning up until April 10, or possibly later. Even though I fully expected it, I'm still surprised. I'll miss my friends. Plus, once we get back to school, we'll have a month left at the most. It's crazy.

Chicago Public Schools are closing for the rest of March... Along with the CPS Teachers Strike that lasted 11 days, that totals up to about 21 days of school missed this year... And who knows, it might get extended, depending on how COVID-19 turns out.
We don't talk about Pentathlon.

Basically the same thing my district is doing. April 10th too, announced it earlier today. I feel a bit out of touch with reality right now...

Besides Science Olympiad, COVID-19 has heavily affected my senior year.

For starters, obviously my Science Olympiad competitor years had to come to a close early this year. Usually prior to our State, my team had a tradition of having a “camp” but we had to cancel that as well.

GradBash for us now is cancelled since Universal has closed, and as senior council president, I also had to cancel our spring carnival.

My school district has been issued a state of emergency as of today and did extend spring break to one more week today, closing school until March 22, but our governor planned to have all schools closed until March 30. Depending on the situation, based off what happens next week, my school might be utilizing Edgenuity if we need to.

Not gonna lie, I’m not adjusting to this change well since I’m always so heavily involved in school and my extracurricular, so it’s kinda tough. Then again, the situation is very severe.
