Here's a spreadsheet I made to organize the roles. Anyone can edit and put their names in a position.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
It's not official (the tournament's not official) but a good way to organize stuff
I'm not in charge of this, but I'll say it on behalf of everyone: only sign up for a role if you have the experience and time to do so. Staff should probably be mostly mods.
Also build events might not be done as of time of publishing and events like Heredity and Designer Genes might possibly be merged due to how similar they are
Should you be using the SOinc event names?

I have switched the names up creatively. Given that most focus on a general concept, we'll just have out tests for our events focus on those, given that the rules don't really mean much to quite a few (but not all) study test writers anyways and therefore avoid the copyright.
Feel free to change some of the new names if you think of a better one

I think that 2 test writers is a bit limiting; it might be harder to find 3 graduate students, but the extra pair of eyes could help a lot

By all means!

Are we currently saying Game On isn't doable? We could use Google Hangouts or something (can video with up to 10 people with a basic account) people and we could have them share their screen. If there's more than 9 people/teams competing we could split up the teams between multiple people

Sure, we can do Game On. The "feasibility of hosting events" thing is just an observation on how hard it would be to hold said event.
If you have an idea on how we could do said event, we can definitely hold them.
On the other hand, when should we host this tournament? I feel like we should host it over a week in order to make sure all competitors can participate. Should it be the week nationals would have been on?

Maybe we could do it on that day, May 13th.

How is the scoring going to work? Sure there might be teams, but there probably will be individual competitors too because their team has stopped meeting or something and if they are scored as a team their score will be way too high
what happens if someone wants to compete in an event they are running?

I don't think you can take a test you write, it's just not fair. I'm not sure what your second sentence is trying to imply...
