Any word or thought on flying site height for gliders and Ws? Within this year's rules, flkying site height information will be critical. With the very light gliders, entirely different gliders may need to be built for higher sites.

Would be very cool if it was Reynolds Coliseum!coachchuckaahs wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2020, 4:24 pm Any word or thought on flying site height for gliders and Ws? As per usual national tournaments, they need to set up awards in a stadium so it may likely not be used for flight events (and PPP).Frost0125 wrote: ↑February 25th, 2020, 5:42 pm(I’m not in gliders, so I don’t know how helpful this is.)CrayolaCrayon wrote: ↑February 25th, 2020, 8:49 amWould be very cool if it was Reynolds Coliseum!coachchuckaahs wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2020, 4:24 pm Any word or thought on flying site height for gliders and Ws? There aren't too many other places they can use for gliders. The only other spot that has room is usually used for ping pong and vehicle events.sciolyperson1 wrote: ↑February 25th, 2020, 7:22 pmAs per usual national tournaments, they need to set up awards in a stadium so it may likely not be used for flight events (and PPP).

I feel like a state university would have at least a few more places tall and large enough to run flight events.Frost0125 wrote: ↑February 26th, 2020, 7:41 amThere aren't too many other places they can use for gliders. There might be another place, but I think it would be part of Reynold's... they have a couple extra rooms that might be big enough.builderguy135 wrote: ↑February 26th, 2020, 9:23 amI feel like a state university would have at least a few more places tall and large enough to run flight events.Frost0125 wrote: ↑February 26th, 2020, 7:41 amThere aren't too many other places they can use for gliders. NorCal has infinite ceiling height... although the wind might be just a tad variable...
