Going off this hunch, searching for Hamilton fans, or possibly those who went to a school named Hamilton reveals that Benewcomb is a rather large Hamilton fan, in addition to getting Hamilton HS in the random wiki page thread. OpticsNerd also attended Hamilton MS (WI).

On the bad grammar topic, I think that aspect might be left until more clues, because looking prior sassy games, a fair percentage have sloppy grammar.

its been a couple days since we washed up on a shore of a wierd island
becauses of their actions on the plane, waffletree, little miss nyan, and pm2017 are now “elected officials”
but of course not everyone is happy about that…. some people will never be satisfied
anyways the officials are in charge of building shelters and its kinda turned into a contest
they think that the shelter that attracts the most people is the “winner”
so now everyone’s on one official’s side or another
…

i’m afraid.
if this keeps up one of the officials might try to stage a coup
