Re: Geologic Mapping C
Do you guys have any idea as to what specific geohazards we should have in our binders?

Re: Geologic Mapping C
I'd get the obvious ones, general info about earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, and tsunamis.Snayhill wrote:Do you guys have any idea as to what specific geohazards we should have in our binders?

Re: Geologic Mapping C
Earthquakes, volcanoes, slumps, rockfalls, and rockslides are the ones that immediately come to mind for me. Anything that applied to Dynamic Planet's previous topic would probably fit well.Snayhill wrote:Do you guys have any idea as to what specific geohazards we should have in our binders?

How to read them I guess. The rules give the example task of using geologic maps to help assess geohazard risks, construct a cross-section of sub-surface structures, and reconstructing the evolution of a given plate boundary.dxu46 wrote:What do we need to know about geologic maps?

The ideal pin would of the capped type sometimes used with nametags. Any type of pin with a flat head should work, provided you can avoid being poked by the tip pointing upwards.Qu€€nMon€y wrote:The rule says tracing paper and pin. What kind of pin?
