Sorry, but if you were really that good at Road Scholar, then why were you "forgotten about?"
My team had a "policy" that all events, unless there was a conflict, would be the exact same at nats as they were at states.
It seems like if you were really that good at RS, you would have won states, so maybe you should have chosen it over Meteo, just a thought.

Optics. When picking events I thought it looked cool but didn't think that much of it so I put it lower on my list and didn't get it. It wasn't until the end of the year that I looked at it again and realized it would actually be pretty cool and fun. However, it won't return until after I graduate so ye :/.

Optics...I did it in middle school but we didn't have a person this past yr for an invite so this senior put herself on it because she did the SATII Physics and I didn't yet (I didn't have time to but I have taken AP Physics) so I sent her all my notes and the protractor I attached a string to for the practical...they literally failed the practical part at states and lost my protractor so yay
Also Fermi Questions: I made it for teams freshman year but had a conflict at the first invite and my replacement did pretty well ...so I just never did it for competition in high school afterward cuz now there's some smarties doing it

Wright Stuff, hovercraft, Optics, and boomilever. We already had seniors for hover and optics. As for Wright Stuff and Boomilever, it doesn't make sense for a graduating senior to get events that will be staying around for one more year.

Oh, and electric vehicle. Should have chosen that over robot arm when I had the chance.

look I'm using my own thread lol

I would love to do Source Code as a trial event. *nudges NCSO*

Reviving this thread, I'm sorry to say that I had to give up Fermi Questions... I got completely outclassed by a pair of sophomores, who are some of the smartest people I know. I'm sad to say that I've competed in last Fermi Questions for the last time already, and the worst part was that I didn't know it at the time.

Tis bittersweet though, since I voluntarily gave it up for those two, because it was what was best for the team,
