Re: Scioly Assassination 87: Crossfire
I protect Phenylethylamine because she wrote somewhere about Living on a Prayer, which is the third song in that album, was a single (as in, it stood alone) of Bon Jovi's, and Bon Jovi was not sure of it as far as being a good song; they had wanted to take it out of the album initially.
I doubt that this is the right protect, but I don't really have any better ideas, so I might as well do it. If it is though, it's odd that the sassy would target Pheny twice.

I will protect Catapult Champion because at one point in time he mentioned that song AND you give love a bad name which is Bon Jovi's 3rd song on the singles list.

twototwenty - You should probably protect yourself, as it has something to do with numbers and you are probably one of the most effective officers.

Yeah, that's probably what I will do with my 2nd protect, but I will do it later, just to wait and see if myself or anyone else comes up with anything new.

*sigh*
I suppose I will pathetically protect myself now, out of not having anything better to do with my second protect...
I hope we officers are able to do better with the next clue...

Re: Scioly Assassination 87: Crossfire
I walked into his lab without garnering so much as a second glance from anyone along the way -- they probably assumed I was just another scientist returning to the lab to check on one of his experiments or grab some paperwork. I rigged up a short circuit connected to a light switch, which would ignite a runaway chemical reaction and consume the entire lab in a wall of flame. I left a note on the door warning the janitorial staff not to enter the lab, for fear of disturbing experiments. Of course, the next morning, my target brushed right by the warning sign and found himself the target of a chemical flamethrower. The police formally classified it as "accident resulting from occupational hazards", but everyone could guess what had truly happened.
Schrodingerscat is dead.

The "Slippery When Wet" sign does refer to the album of the same name by Bon Jovi. As many of you figured out, "alone" meant the singles released for the album. However no one managed to connect the word "third" to the third single for the album, "Wanted Dead or Alive".
As for the last part of the clue -- "not very sure" -- Schrodinger's Cat is a famous physics thought experiment involving a cat and a vial of cyanide in a box, where you can't be sure if the cat is dead or alive until you open the box and look at it (technically, the cat is considered to be simultaneously dead and alive until you observe it in one state or the other).

Your next clue:

Moran and Roberts
Coburn and Inhofe

BWhat do they all have the same of?
AThe Lady died with him but was not born until long after, in 1954.
Correction: A + B + [space] + [Two letters, both uppercase]
If the Lady were real, she would not have died 362 years before she was born.
