Our team came up with a rule for regionals:

"Private academies with names beginning in 'S' should not be allowed to attend states."

I know Stroudsburg isn't private, but last year at states during the awards ceremony, the guy saying who won the medals went "Strou" which sounds a little bit like Strath. So there were a few times where he said that, a few people on my team clapped, and then Stroudsburg won the medal.

Yeah that happens every year and gets really annoying. There are two many good "S" middle schools. Out of the consistent top 6, 4 of them start with "S" (Stath Haven, Stroudburg, Shady Side, Swickely).

It's kind of interesting that between the SE, NE, and CE regionals and the SW, NW, and C regionals there's a week in the middle. I wonder why that is...
