I think that will be fine. Ask then if they say no just don't take the stool. But I think they will met likely say yes.

Just make sure that they only use it for seeing over the mission, because my team has a tool box and any thing we use from it must be kept in the box like a container for sand.

Interesting. Must be a local rule, as it's not in the rule book. Either that or someone''s confusing Mission with last year's Junkyard.
Original Question Team might want to ask if they can run on the floor. While floor vs table has many arguments in both directions, a floor run eliminates most leaning-based bumps, vibration and shaking.
I allow both in all my tournaments, but discourage the use of tables.

We were wondering if they count a slowly turning motor attached to a nail with mass on it as purpose stalling.

No, no. Nothing by the machine is purpose stalling. Purpose stalling is making it not work, and then taking forever to fix it. Anything the machine does that takes time is legit.

Oh ok... then the judging was just totally messed up at regional's........ thanks
