Don't do it for the medals, do it for the fun.
And holy crickets never ever ever do 6 events again. Like, ever.

Don't do events because there's no one else to do them. It will go horribly and you could be dedicating your time to events you actually care about.

Can only agree with this. I did earthsci ID events for three years and hated every minute of it (though admittedly it was also because I couldn't do the events I actually wanted to do).

Exactly. Out of the 6 events I referred to above, I only cared about 2. The rest I had because none of my teammates wanted to do them.

Pumptato, was that last year when you did 6 events? Last year I did 7.

Yep. I did 3 this year--much more enjoyable.
Were you genuinely interested in 7?... Sounds very tiring.
