Oh and also when do the rules manuals normally come out? This is only my second year doing scioly so idk when stuff normally happens and I’m very impatient now that I’m back from vacay and don’t have anything to do lol. Thanks in advance!

Uhhh I think it's the Tuesday after Labor Day? If you have discord jaspattack posted in #announcements; if not, I think last year it was 9/7. So, early September.

Oh has anyone noticed that the number of users online went up to 200ish on average? It used to be 60s-70s. Does this mean more bot accounts, or actual hoomans? :thonk:

The 2024 rules manual will release on September 5th, 2023. Depending on your events you may still be able to plan your studying based on last year's rules, but that won't work for everything.

As for the number of online users, I wouldn't be surprised if it's more bots. I just disapproved 6 spam posts from the past day or so. Hopefully it's more online users though! New people joining the forums is always great.

jaspattack has good event choices (see signature), all but forensics. I can't wrap my head around that event at all.
