I, for one, have had a lot of fun with these games, and want to see them go beyond 100. I agree with twototwenty. This is a seriously crazy idea- but we could have an assassinator training forum game that simulates various areas of Assassinator games... That would be cool.

Re: Scioly Assassination 88: A Social Experiment
Cedavis6, that's what I said to Randy back when I was sassy. But then I looked over it...I have had my fun. The first game I ever played, I got killed right after my post because I sacrificed myself so someone else could be officer. I didn't play much this game, did I? The fact that Koko was running it should have meant a great deal of fun. But no. Because you guys couldn't be bothered to try, I couldn't bring myself to get into the game. I disagreed with Randy at first. I really did. But now?Cedavis6 wrote:The Ghost of Cedavis6 wrote:I disagree very much. First of all, I am pretty much the only reason you won when you were the Sassy. These games are dying. They're slow. My game lasted months. Months. That's a ridiculous amount of time. Either something needs to be done or we need to stop.
Secondly, you are not the reason I won. Don't be narcissistic. I didn't even notice your presence for the first nine pages or so. You were just there, someone I didn't need to pay attention to. I only noticed you when you tried to volunteer for my spot as officer. You were not even officer except for a few days when I was at Nats. And, I'm sorry, but because you were new to the game, almost no one payed attention to your suspicions or lack thereof. No one accused or protected someone because of what you said. My close call came because of robot. If anything, quadratic had more power to bring me down. No, the reason I won was mostly because you guys didn't try and I had ingenuity and knew how to cover my tracks.
And once again, I didn not win because of you.

Re: Scioly Assassination 88: A Social Experiment
I wasn't in the first nine pages or so. I was not trying to be narcistic.
I just felt so stupid when I saw you win. I thought, "GAH! I should have seen this coming! I.AM.SO.STUPID. Nobody should have listened to me! I feel like this is my fault..." That is not narccism. I'm sorry, I should have worded it better, I have this problem all the time. I make mistakes. Please forgive me, I respect you very much as a user, and wanna see you be the Sassy again, and I probably won't be as stupid the next time you are the Sassy.
What do you guys think of my assassinator training idea?

I naturally suck at typing (you'd be surprised how many typos I make normally), but this time I didn't bother to fix them before posting. A lot of things you guys thought were calculated were really done at random, and some random-looking things were really quite calculated.iwonder wrote:While I'm asking questions... Care to explain the typos? I thought it was going to be some kind of cipher at the end... But I never really bothered to check.
As for what forever and twototwenty have been saying - yes, I agree. I was hoping my third attempt at being sassy would be more fun
My humble opinion is that the age range of the players in these games has gone down. The really good players - brobo, Dox, zyzzyva, Randy, etc. - have either left the site, gotten too busy, or lost interest altogether. The players now don't put enough effort into the game. And I'm not sure how to fix that.twototwenty wrote:Compare that to now, where Koko barely managed to scrape up 5 officers, with a fairly easy clue. The last game wasn't so bad, but with this one I was just waiting for Koko to end it. Perhaps these games really are dying, which really is sad, considering they are a prevailing scioly tradition.
Hey, thanks! I appreciate the sentiment. I tried to do a good job but just got fed up with the game.foreverphysics wrote:The fact that Koko was running it should have meant a great deal of fun. But no. Because you guys couldn't be bothered to try, I couldn't bring myself to get into the game.
EDIT: Grammar...

Yeah, the fan-base for the sassy games has shrunk considerably. There used to be a number a very good officers as well as many more that we're still eager to get involved so that there was never a shortage of people to participate. I don't know if we can really get more people to play now. We might just need to hope that some new enthusiastic people join Scioly this year.Kokonilly wrote:My humble opinion is that the age range of the players in these game has gone down. IDEAS:
My training game idea (Any feedback? At all?)
Interesting themes (eg. Haunted House Horror, A Kill in Time, etc.)
Encourage civillians to help the officers
Have me be the Sassy
(Kidding!)
Multiple Sassies
More officer spots
Bring back EOOTA?
Have some civillians work for the Sassy
What about these?
Please don't put the next game on hiatus... I'm too excited!

Re: Scioly Assassination 88: A Social Experiment
Here's another thought for the next sassy, maybe the time should be increased from 48 to more like 96 hours, sure, the games would be slower, but I think it would give more time for officers, while I agree it would help to be more dedicated, I don't see how to fix that, and especially for this being my first time it was really disheartening to be able to spend hours of time on certain clues and not come up with anything...

Re: Scioly Assassination 88: A Social Experiment
Cedavis, I think you are missing the real problem. the assasinators are for the most part fine; I picked Koko because I knew she wold do a wonderful job. No, the problem lies in he officers, 100%. Any changes made should focus on selecting officers who will actually work on the game.
iwonder, the officers in this game weren't posting any ideas they had about clues for the most part; I find it very hard to believe that more time would have helped, as Koko was very genrous with time extensions, and it had no effect.
