I see almost no changes being made as boomilever is already hard enough... We might be looking at some sort of bonus though? (idk :?:)
Maybe they’ll do something similar to the second year of towers and make the boomi have to fit through a ring at a certain distance from the wall
I don't think that's very likely. It could have some minimal change, like increasing the distance to the wall by 5cm, just so people have to tweak their designs. Boomi has the tier 2 rule that stops you from going the light-and-fragile bonus route. You could do some kind of score multiplier for vertical height used on the wall - or maybe add boomi length to the score, so longer boomis scored higher. But boomi length and height on wall are so directly tied to the basic physics of the event that I'm not sure adding them in to the score gains you anything.

Mostly I agree with Chi - there's enough variation in Boomis this year that you don't need to change it up.

How would that even work?

for some weird reason the name "ping pong parachute" sounds way better to me than "indoor bottle rocket"

Chances are Astro won't change topic. I don't know about DP.

Is this for real? Why would it be posted on the PA website and not soinc?

It doesn't have anything inaccurate that I can see. I would treat the new information as tentatively accurate, I doubt PA would post something wrong.

In other words: Official, but not yet.
