Re: Pennsylvania 2018
To be honest, I've never really thought that Bala would place as good as 2nd. They placed 23rd and 26th at Rustin, so I've never really paid any attention to them.
I still think that Springhouse will get 1st, SSA 2nd, and eagle view 3rd.

Re: Pennsylvania 2018
Before I post my personal rankings, and the next iteration of the prediction rankings, here's the rankings my computer formula generated. For new people, I have used a formula to try to project all 36 teams, taking into account factors such as regional score, regional size, regional strength, past places, and invitationals attended. I have added a couple things after brief testing to hopefully make them slightly more accurate.
Now, these are not intended to be hard-fast predictions. It is generally best to take these with ranges of uncertainty of about +/- 4 places in B and +/- 3 places in C, especially in the middle of the pack where there is the most uncertainty. Also, there will be some teams that underperform or overperform based on external factors that cannot be accounted for.
Next note: if you want me to try to apply this to different states, this year or in the future, you're gonna have to send me all the data because I don't really want to go looking for it.
But if you really want it, PM me and we can figure out something.
And lastly: yes, I know Park Forest isn't 7th. No, I cannot force the formula to put Park Forest 7th. Don't ask me about it.
