From the wiki (aka East): Looks like Athens is returning to states as the 9th place team after ES South, Pleasant Valley, and Dallas all declined their spots.

I believe this is the first time that I know of where a team that placed three places behind the final qualification spot ended up competing at states. Not sure of all the behind the scenes stuff but they are indeed competing.

I'll bite.

So for some reason I have a memory of awards being livestreamed a few years ago. Did this actually happen? I'm not sure because they definitely don't do it anymore, but that may just be because of new leadership.

I was thinking more like 2012 or 2013, but I know the video you're talking about from 2014.

For everyone's viewing pleasure, here are the projected rankings for every team at states! Please note that this is a very imperfect science, and just because your team is ranked in a certain place, doesn't mean they can't get higher or lower! It's hard to account for differences between regionals and states, or changes to team composition. Also, these may be slightly different from the ones I posted earlier due to score changes and other stuff. That said, here they are:

Division B
1. Springhouse
2. Shady Side
3. Strath Haven
4. Eagle View
5. Bala Cynwyd
6. Franklin Regional
7. Garnet Valley
8. Park Forest

10. Hershey
11. Welsh Valley
12. J.R. Fugett
13. Spring Grove
14. Wyoming Area
15. Stetson

29. Peters Township
30. Middletown Area
31. Spring Valley
32. Laurel
33. Warwick
34. Eastern York
35. Good Hope
36. Wilmington

Division C
1. Harriton
2. Bayard Rustin
3. Conestoga
4. Shady Side
5. Lower Merion
6. Penncrest
7. Abington Heights
8. Northwestern Lehigh
9. Stroudsburg

These are East's Computer's; East does not have the energy to fiddle around with the rankings past the top 15 or so. ;)
