how much national stuff is going to be on the states test??
how much should i know???
It all depends on the writer of the event. My states was a difficult test (well not that difficult for my partner and i at least) but had NO national stuff on it, just like how a state event should be... I would know it just in case

What is the purpose of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone-system (aka RAA system)?

It was the purpose of the RAA system in the pathogenesis of hypertension.

Well, that is a much better question, although it still seems pretty hard for states. Renin, angiotensin and aldosterone raise blood pressure by causing your kidneys to retain water, constricting peripheral blood vessels and promoting the release of antidiuretic hormone (vasopressin). If it were overactive, it would lead to hypertension.

It's a component of teh blood (i believe a blood protein) and it helps maintain the right blood volume.

Doesn't it help regulate osmotic pressure?
