Wouldn't it be funny if she did become the sassy for the next game... would an accusation before the game actually started count?Littleboy wrote:I accuse Cedavis6 because I have an extra accusation and she said she'll be sassy next.

It's not that I don't want to play, but it seems like no one else wants to play right now. And without a bunch of motivated people the game just isn't the same.

Neither. I used black magic.twototwenty wrote:On another note: Genius, what was the deal with you knowing who the sassy was? Did she tell you, or did you just figure it out from the ID clue?

I had no knowledge she was going to South Africa prior to posting that.Littleboy wrote:I just figured that this was just made up and wasn't actually a hint.

While I'm asking questions... Care to explain the typos? I thought it was going to be some kind of cipher at the end... But I never really bothered to check.

New Sassy, are you going to have a hiatus until September? Please tell us so... I guess I probably will have to wait until September for the next game, but I'm so darn impatient...![]()

Re: Scioly Assassination 88: A Social Experiment
The games have been steadily going downhill since Naps' last attempt, which was 77 or something like that. fmtiger's attempt after that one was okay, but 79 and 80 were total domination on the part of the assassinator. With 79, rocketman was a bit unfair, but if it had been the old days, we sure as heck would not have lost at that. 80 was even worse. As in, almost a year since that game and we still don't know who the sassy is. As for 81, hav didn't even try that hard and managed to win. That's three games lost in a row, people. Before that, the only game we ever lost was 56, when Dox was sassy.
Randy actually proposed we stop the games once and for all after my stint as sassy. Back then, I was against it, but now...looking at the satate of the sassy games, this is just sad. Something great, monumentally fun, and intellectually challenging has become a joke and something like "eh, we'll get to it at some point". There were a few games where all five officer spots filled up after--and I'm not even joking--six minutes. Dox won game 56 after a lot of clues, and people were able to solve it. It's just not the same as it was before. I mean, even just reading through a few of these games and seeing the difference...
Right now, I'm supporting Randy's idea of "this needs to end". And yet, somehow, I do think there is redemption for this laziness that has come upon us. I say we try for 90 games. When we get to 90, we decide whether or not we want to get to 100. And once we hit 100, I say we decide whether or not this game stops once and for all.

Re: Scioly Assassination 88: A Social Experiment
Forever, for the most part, I agree. Although I haven't participated until the last few games, I have watched them since I first joined scioly, back when we were on 64 (which, by the way, lasted 3 months and 60-some pages and still had more action at its end than this one ever did), and I can't help but be sad at what a [negative] change has taken place. I remember how back in number 65 there was a list of easily 20 people who had made an attempt to be an officer, within the first day or two. Compare that to now, where Koko barely managed to scrape up 5 officers, with a fairly easy clue. The last game wasn't so bad, but with this one I was just waiting for Koko to end it. Perhaps these games really are dying, which really is sad, considering they are a prevailing scioly tradition.
Do I think we should just say "the end"? No, not really. However, I think that in order for them to conitnue sucessfully, some action needs to be taken. One thing that crossed my mind was the sassy actually seeking out officers who they could trust to do a good job to have a good game. Regardless, something does need to change.
