Dirty Harry?
"You been counting? Well, was it five or was it six?"
x5 or x6

Also,
"Are you feeling lucky, Punk?"
Ya feelin' lucky?

I don't know, just thought that I might help.

Uhh... you definitely don't have to read xkcd to get the Dirty Harry reference. Honestly, I was a little surprised no one got it earlier - "You've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" is one of the most famous movie quotes of all time. :P

EDIT: Citation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFI's_100_ ... s#The_list It's #51.

Well, here at scioly, some of us (meaning me) do live under rocks...I looked at that list and knew about 21 of the quotes from seeing them in thier respective movies, and only recognized about 5 to 10 more. Sadly enough, 3 of the ones I knew were from Gone With the Wind :?

Don't worry, you're not the only one... no way on earth I could have realized that, and I think I knew less of the quotes on that list than you did

I have never heard of that quote before now.

I knew exactly four. Three were from The Wizard of Oz. One was from The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I have never seen the Sherlock Homes movie thingy, but I am familiar with that quote. (God knows I use it enough on my John.)
On another note, the only movie I have watched from that list is The Wizard of Oz.

You hadn't heard "May the force be with you"? :?

I recognized about 54 of the quotes on that list - but that may just be because my parents both love watching movies and frequently quote them to me. Anyway, haha, my point was that the sassy doesn't have to read xkcd. :P

I've watched about 20 of those, heard of probably about twenty more.
My favorite: "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" (Casablanca, 1942, #20)
Favorite that's not on the list: "Either he's dead or my watch has stopped" (A Day at the Races, 1937)
