I was somewhat tired last night, so let me make some corrections to what I said. I don't necessarily want the games to "Die", but i just get the feeling that popularity is at an all-time low. I just felt that 40 would be a good number to end at, but if people still want to play, then let them continue. But if people are just going to moan on the whole thread, then I'm not so sure.
What fmtiger said about me not caring now that I've had my turn is not true. It is just weird timing. Even if nejanimb hadn't picked me I still would feel this way. I might not support my cause as strongly, but my opinion would remain the same.
Just honestly ask yourself though, is the sun going to blow up if the games stop? Are you going to skip school to mope in your room about the games ending? My answer to both questions, and I think an end might be good just to stop the fighting.

And one final idea: Keep the EOOTA, but could consist of anyone who has been an assassinator, officer or informant?

Exactly. All discussions about the Apprentice rules must be public. No offense to fmtiger, but you seem to take charge of everything with the games now.

I disagree here, actually. I think FMtiger's proposed version of Apprentice rules are kind of cool, and I think that an Assassin who choses to try that should not necessarily have to consult the larger group. This implementation of an Apprentice is totally innocuous - a cool addition to the Assassin game. Not one part of those rules would necessarily change the Assassination game as it currently stands, and the assassin wouldn't have to use an Apprentice. Having a second hidden identity would be neat, but not change the core of the game, as the game still ends when the identity of the Assassin himself is revealed.

My suggestion: make an open thread for assassination feedback and let public opinion decide. Why are we keeping these decisions private, seeing as it's a game for the whole scioly.org community?

Also, think of how this thread must look to new people joining. It would certainly have creeped me out a bit that you guys are freaking out over a game.

I will definitely be waiting some time, maybe a week, maybe less, we'll see. People have already seemed to clam down a little. People aren't as angry and intense as they were yesterday, so it's already getting better.

At this point, there are only a few regular players who have not been the assassinator before. Having everything be commented in the assassinator threads by everyone would be a unrealistic, massive jumble. If there was something that was easily disagreeable, that really could be bad.
