Maybe poison->Potions and Poisons and the other references relate to other events (ex. Star Wars->Astronomy)?? Seems a little far-fetched, but I did look into that actor and didn't see anything super useful.

A landmark achievement of any SciOlyian's career is to medal at nationals. It seems like it would be even more surprising at one's first and last time at nationals. But it can be done and has been done, though.
