What do you guys miss most because of COVID-19?
I miss looking forward to doing Ecology when it would have rotated in senior year.

I was hoping that hovercraft would come back, but I think that's not happening now

Oh boy, I got a lot more notifications in my inbox than expected for this...
I would say something motivational about how COVID-19 might've taken away a lot of things from us and how we should take this as a learning experience and all that, but I honestly don't feel like it would be meaningful in any way, especially since we've all heard it to the point where it's practically drilled into our brains. What I will say, though, is that I love how the Science Olympiad community managed to come together during these hard times and how we are all helping and understanding each other as we go through this despite being spread across the nation. It is something to truly be proud of.
(Also can we can an E# in the chat for Div. B Sounds)

Yeah, I really have to agree here.
The coronavirus wiki page was really something. People from such diverse backgrounds were coming together on the wiki to help keep track of tournament closures, update helpful maps, add references, and so much more. The community really came together on that one, and it was so, so amazing to see.
And even past the first days of the pandemic, the community didn't just give up and say "Ahh, well, schools may not be in-person next year, soooo... no SciOly!". NSO came out with a detailed roadmap of how this season is going to go, backed by experiences that students like us have. Although the events didn't rotate through, at least NSO has been trying their best to keep this program afloat amidst a pandemic which has wreaked havoc throughout much of the world.
Thank you all for being a part of this wonderful, collaborative community!

Good to see this thread still thriving. It's been a long time. I should reread them.
