Welp. I think I failed it.

STORY TIME KIDS
So there's a stream that flows out of the woods near my house that goes into a drain, and recently me + my brothers have been going down there and clearing the mud from blocking the drain (when we first started it was completely covered and the water was pooling) and maintaining that area of the stream in general. Getting some sticks and leaves out of the waterflow near the edge of the forest and I found a ratty mud-caked baseball with the outside leather all torn up.
I was rinsing the mud off of it in the stream because why not and remarked how the damp stringy red ties looked like bloody tentacles, that + it's damaged abandoned state led to maybe the ball would come alive in the night to strangle the neighborhood
Brothers: "uh what that's not going to happen"
Me: "that's what every horror movie character says"
and then it eventually turns into brothers yelling at me to throw it down the drain because apparently there's a trash/leaves shredder in the drain network at some point and it would shred up the ball and kill it, I say that's not how horror movies work and it's going to come up the drain to get revenge, brothers start trying to wrestle me to grab the ball to throw it down the drain, I nope out of there just inside the forest with brothers in hot pursuit to an outcropping of boulders and sling the ball into a hidey space made by bolders and part of a big downed tree to keep it safe there.
so that happens
bUT then brothers go back out to the stream, partway there they yell "WE GOT THE BALL" and yeet whatever they found into the drain?? it can't be the ball because the direction the ball went was in the complete opposite direction
SooOoOOoO either it's going to come alive in the night and destroy everything or it's not or it'll have mercy on me because I tried to keep it from dying and destroy everything else or that wasn't enough saving and it's going to destroy everything anyway

I was making dalgona because I wanted to make dalgona cheesecake, and when I was melting the sugar, I decided to pop some in my mouth. When I put it in, I heard a small "fizz", which was evaporation. And then I felt a weird pain on my tongue, turns out, I burnt my tongue. Have mercy on me, I'm the stoopidest lad you'll ever find.
EDIT: the dalgona was disgusting, I'm going to make honey cheesecake. f r i c k
