After that, we have a short class that's closer to 55 minutes in length. We have a block schedule with a/b days for every class except the final class of the day, which we have every day but Friday. On Fridays we do a special kind of punishment known as Fast Fridays, where we have all six of our normal classes, but for shorter periods of time so that we can have each class for the same amount of time each week. The class lengths I have here might not be exact, though. I time my classes by when the bell rings, not how long the class actually takes.

that sounds like a cool idea if every schoolweek was 5 full days, but what happens when you get days off or you have half days?

My school's schedule could be the strangest of all. We have 7 periods each day with a 7 day rotation. Essentially, on Day 1 we drop Period A, attending the B, C, D, E, F, and G period classes. On Day 2, we drop B, so we have to go to A, C, D, E, F, and G and etc. The rotation makes sense, but the order in which we have each period seems to be completely random (it's not like we have B first on Day 1, and then C first on Day 2) - and G period is last 5 out of the 7 days. There's no good way to keep track of what class you should be attending other than completely memorizing the schedule, an option which unfortunately requires brainpower I do not possess. The weirdest part is the fact that we use a 7 day rotation, so asking what "day" it has become a question is asked almost every 5 minutes before and during first period. Oh, and we also start at 9:00 instead of 8:30 on Tuesdays - I appreciate the extra time to sleep, but it can be hard to keep track of too lol

On a more unrelated note, is it just me that thinks the Aspen software is terrible? My old district uses Infinite campus, which I also disliked, but Aspen could be even worse. Not to mention the poorly-designed web filtering software that most districts in America seem to use... *cough* iBoss *cough* contentkeeper *cough*

Mon: 1-7
Tues: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6
Wed: 2, Resource, 4, 6, 7
Thurs: 1, 3, 4, 5, 7
Fri: 1-7

It sucked getting used to that. Even during second semester, I went to the wrong class sometimes.

Ahem, have you forgotten the 8th period (JkJk). In total I have an 8 and a half hour school day, not counting required extracurricular activities. I mean like what happened to standardized schedules. :?:

During a strolling strings rehearsal my D string snapped...and I didn't have a deadline, I'd spend all day on ProtoBowl. xD

Pi-Bot, I thought you had no extracurriculars except ballet.

Regarding schedules, my middle school had first and second lunches and breaks. All 6th graders had first for both, all 8th graders had second, and if you were a poor seventh grader your C and E periods determined it. Also second lunch is rather late and kids get very hungry/annoyed.

6th grade lunch at my school is at 10:41. It's horrible. And in elementary school I swear they changed which grade had the latest lunch (2:05) every year so that it was always my grade...
