Same here, got a couple essays and 23 chapters of notes to write for "Catcher In The Rye", with all the good stuff on top like symbolism and individual character analysis for each chapter, goody. :cry:

Catcher was a fun book. Does the individual character analysis include both major and minor characters? Cuz that is a lot of characters lol.

I think people like/dislike it because of the way Holden narrates it. For some people it's really too much information and they aren't really interested in what's going on inside his brain but for others they really enjoy the level of detail that goes into Holden's characterization.

Yep any and all characters, and 1 paragraph 6-8 sentances describing each chapter, and 3-4 for each character. Our teachers crazy for thinking nobody would sparknote the whole thing. Moreover, I felt this was a decent book out of the ones we had to read so far, but the end-of-book project was what I liked. I made a literal mind map of the whole thing. It's quite interesting if anyone is interested.
